Fourth of July is almost here and it's high time to start planning for a night loaded with pyrotechnic fun. Several communities across Chattanooga will be offering fireworks display once again each with its own unique setting and viewing experience. - Pops on the River
The Pops on the River Independence Day celebration will be held on July 3 in Coolidge Park. When you live in Chattanooga, It's hard to avoid spending this day on the Tennessee River. You will get to listen to free music and watch an amazing fireworks display. This popular community event features a patriotic concert by the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Orchestra before and during the fireworks. The show starts at 5:00 PM and is concluded by fireworks display at 9:45 PM. For the full experience, consider packing folding lawn chairs or a blanket. You can also pack your own picnic dinner though food and drink concessions are available. If you'd like to avoid some of the largest crowds, you can also watch the display from the Riverfront or near the Walnut Street Bridge and Tennessee Aquarium since the fireworks are shot over the Tennessee River.
- Chattanooga Lookouts
If you love sports and would like to celebrate Independence Day with a thrilling Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game, the AT&T Field is the place to be. After the game, enjoy a spectacular pyrotechnics show with a special Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza. Colorful fireworks will light up the sky and will be set to patriotic music in the background. The game starts at 6:15 PM on July 4. The Lookouts will also host other games with fireworks display, so don't forget to catch the shows.
- Lake Winnepesaukah
It's summertime--the weather is warm and kids are not in school. The 4th of July festivities are right around the corner and the best place to be is at Lake Winnepesaukah. Whether you want to stay cool at Soak Ya Water Park or ride roller coasters at Lake Winnie, you will get to enjoy an Independence Day full of fun for the whole family. After all the fun, stay until 10:00 PM and watch a spectacular fireworks display light up the sky.
