Donate Masks in Chattanooga

Running out of ways to occupy your time? Cloth face masks are so easy to make that you can work on them while binging Netflix. Here are instructions for sewing a simple face mask along with a list of places around Chattanooga homes for sale that are accepting donations.

  1. Cut two 10-inch by 6-inch rectangles from a piece of tightly-woven cotton fabric. High thread-count pillowcases, flannel pajamas, and dish towels are good sources of materials. Vacuum cleaner bags and HEPA furnace filters will also work.

    Watching Mother Nature rise from her winter slumber is a sight that never grows old. Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center is a public park designed to conserve and enhance the natural beauty near Chattanooga homes for sale. The 317-acre property features more than 12 miles of dog-friendly walking trails along Lookout Creek and up Lookout Mountain. With five distinct ecosystems encompassed in the park, you're likely to spot some birds and animals that live on the grounds. Admission is by donation, with $10 for adults and $7 for children requested. The Welcome Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., but members have dawn-till-dusk access.

About HullaBOWLoo

HullaBOWLoo is the Chattanooga Area Food Bank's signature fundraising event and has become an annual tradition in the area. Patrons of this event help fill the bowls of people facing hunger, aiding the Chattanooga Area Food Bank as they work to end hunger and promote better nutrition throughout the region. Not only is it an opportunity to lend a helping hand to hungry children, seniors, and families in the 20 counties this food bank serves, it is also a great way to meet new neighbors, make local connections, sample the area's best cuisine, have lots of fun and get a feel for the Chattanooga area community.
